You just finished updating your Branding Guide. Now you need to update all your social media accounts. Here is a checklist with the right image sizes for each social media platform.

Below is a platform‑by‑platform guide for refreshing your brand assets across your social channels. For each network I included recommended profile and banner image dimensions, file details and any official character/word limits for the description or “about” sections. Use the steps under each platform to update your assets—login, navigate to the correct profile settings, upload new images and replace the description text. (All dimensions are width × height in pixels.)


1. Facebook (Profile/Page)

  3. Change cover photo – Hover over the cover banner, select Edit Cover PhotoUpload photo. Upload an image sized 851 × 315 px. Adjust cropping to keep key elements within the central safe area.
  4. Update description – Go to the About section and click the pencil icon to edit the page description. Replace the text with a concise brand summary (≤155 characters). Save changes.

2. Instagram

    • Edit the About section to refresh your summary. Keep it concise and within the 2 000‑character limit for company pages or a similar length for personal profiles.
  2. Company page – In the top navigation select For BusinessCreate a Company Page (or open your existing page).
    • Click the pencil icon next to the logo to upload a 400 × 400 px logo.
    • Under Cover image, upload a 1 128 × 191 px banner.
    • Use the Overview section to update the company description (≤2 000 characters). Save.
